This Return, Refund & Withdrawal Policy applies to orders placed through NOSTALAR at nostalar.com.

This policy explains:

  • statutory withdrawal and cancellation rights for consumers in the European Union and the United Kingdom;
  • voluntary returns for customers outside the European Union and the United Kingdom;
  • refunds;
  • return shipping costs;
  • damaged, defective or incorrect items.

Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory statutory rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.

Please contact us before sending any item back so we can provide the correct return instructions and return address. This helps avoid lost or misdirected parcels. This does not affect your statutory right of withdrawal or cancellation.

2. Statutory right of withdrawal for European Union consumers

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving any reason, unless a legal exception applies.

The withdrawal period is 14 days from the day on which you, or a third party designated by you other than the carrier, take physical possession of the goods.

If your order is delivered in several shipments or parcels, the withdrawal period begins on the day on which you, or a third party designated by you other than the carrier, take physical possession of the last item or parcel.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw from the contract by a clear statement, for example by email or by post.

You may use the model withdrawal form at the end of this policy, but this is not mandatory.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient that you send your withdrawal notice before the withdrawal period expires.

3. Statutory cancellation right for United Kingdom consumers

If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom, you may have the right to cancel your order within 14 days after receiving the goods, unless a legal exception applies.

If your order is delivered in several shipments or parcels, the cancellation period begins on the day you receive the last item or parcel.

To exercise your cancellation right, you must inform us by a clear statement, for example by email or by post.

You do not need to give a reason for cancellation.

4. Returning goods after withdrawal or cancellation

If you exercise a statutory withdrawal or cancellation right, you must send back or hand over the goods without undue delay and, in any event, no later than 14 days from the day on which you informed us of your decision to withdraw from or cancel the contract.

The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the 14-day return period expires.

Unless we provide a different return address in text form (e.g., via email), returns must be sent to:

Do not send returns to the manufacturer, fulfillment partner or any address shown on the parcel unless we have specifically instructed you to do so.

We recommend using a tracked shipping service and keeping your proof of postage.

5. Condition of returned goods

For statutory withdrawal or cancellation rights, you may inspect and try on the product as you would in a physical retail store.

You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

This means, for example, that we may reduce the refund if returned goods show signs of use beyond normal inspection and fitting, such as:

  • visible wear;
  • washing;
  • strong odors;
  • stains;
  • damage;
  • missing parts or packaging where relevant;
  • other handling beyond what is necessary to inspect the product.

No reduction will be applied for normal inspection and fitting.

6. Voluntary returns outside the European Union and United Kingdom

For customers outside the European Union and the United Kingdom, including customers in the United States and Canada, we offer voluntary returns for standard products within 14 days after delivery, unless the item is marked as final sale or non-returnable.

To request a voluntary return, contact us at info@nostalar.com within 14 days after receiving your order.

Please include:

  • your order number;
  • your full name;
  • the item you wish to return;
  • the reason for return, optional;
  • photos of the item if it is damaged, defective or incorrect.

For voluntary returns outside the European Union and the United Kingdom, returned items must be:

  • unworn;
  • unwashed;
  • unused except for normal inspection and fitting;
  • in reasonable original condition;
  • returned with proof of purchase.

We may refuse voluntary returns outside the European Union and the United Kingdom if these conditions are not met.

Items marked as “Final Sale” or “Non-Returnable” are not eligible for voluntary returns outside the European Union and the United Kingdom, unless they are damaged, defective or incorrect, or unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

7. Return shipping costs

For statutory withdrawal or cancellation:
You are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods, unless mandatory law provides otherwise or unless we have agreed to bear those costs.

For voluntary returns outside the European Union and the United Kingdom:
You are responsible for the return shipping costs.

For damaged, defective or incorrect items:
If the item is damaged, defective or incorrect, we will provide an appropriate solution in accordance with your statutory rights. Where a return is necessary and the issue is confirmed, we will reimburse reasonable return shipping costs or provide a return solution where applicable.

We do not charge a separate handling fee, processing fee or restocking fee for exercising a statutory withdrawal or cancellation right.

8. Refunds after statutory withdrawal or cancellation

If you withdraw from or cancel the entire order under a statutory withdrawal or cancellation right, we will refund all payments received from you, including the cost of the cheapest standard delivery method offered by us for the original shipment.

If you chose a more expensive delivery method, such as express or premium shipping, we will not refund the additional cost above the cheapest standard delivery method offered by us.

If you return only part of an order, we will refund the price of the returned item or items. Original shipping costs may not be refunded for partial returns unless required by applicable law.

We will make the refund without undue delay.

For goods, we may withhold the refund until we have received the returned goods or until you have provided proof that you have sent back the goods, whichever is earlier.

Refunds will be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you. You will not be charged any fee by us for the refund.

Banks, card issuers or payment providers may require additional processing time before the refund appears in your account.

9. Refunds for voluntary returns outside the European Union and United Kingdom

For approved voluntary returns outside the European Union and the United Kingdom, we will refund the price of the returned item after we receive and inspect the returned item.

Original shipping costs are not refunded for voluntary returns unless required by law or unless the item was damaged, defective or incorrect.

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method where possible.

10. Damaged, defective or incorrect items

If you receive a damaged, defective or incorrect item, contact us as soon as possible at:

Please include:

  • your order number;
  • a short description of the issue;
  • clear photos of the product;
  • photos of the packaging, if relevant.

Please contact us as soon as possible after delivery so we can review the issue quickly with our fulfillment partner. This request is purely voluntary and does not limit your statutory warranty or consumer rights.

If the product is defective, damaged or incorrect, we will provide an appropriate solution in accordance with applicable law. This may include a replacement, repair, refund or other remedy depending on the circumstances and applicable rights.

11. Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges.

If you would like a different size, color or design, please return the original item in accordance with this policy and place a new order separately.

This does not affect your statutory rights if the item is defective, damaged or incorrect.

12. Order changes and cancellations before shipment

Because our T-shirts are made to order, we cannot guarantee that an order can be changed or cancelled after it has been placed.

If the order has already entered production, fulfillment or shipping, changes may no longer be possible.

This does not affect any statutory withdrawal or cancellation rights you may have.

13. Customs, duties and refused deliveries

For returns from outside Austria, you are responsible for completing any required customs documents correctly.

If a parcel is returned to us because you refused delivery, failed to collect the parcel, provided an incorrect address, or failed to pay import duties, taxes or carrier fees, we will review the case individually.

Any refund may be reduced by costs actually incurred by us, such as return shipping costs, customs charges or carrier fees, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

This does not affect your mandatory statutory consumer rights.
